Cookie policy

Draft pending legal review before publication. Drawn up in accordance with the GDPR, the CNIL guidelines and the ePrivacy directive.

A cookie is a small file placed on your device when you visit a site. Depending on its purpose, it lets the service work, remembers your preferences, or measures audience. “Trackers” cover cookies and equivalent technologies (local storage, etc.).

Cookie / storage Category Purpose Lifetime Party
__Host-kovant_session Necessary Authentication session Session / 30 d 1st
kovant_consent Necessary Stores your consent choices 13 months 1st
kovant_locale Necessary Language preference 1 year 1st
csrf_token Necessary Cross-site request forgery protection Session 1st
_kv_analytics Audience measurement Audience stats (if consented, outside exempt mode) 13 months 1st (self-hosted)
__stripe_* Necessary (payment) Payment-fraud prevention Session Stripe

Cookies that are strictly necessary for the service to work, together with our audience measurement in CNIL-exempt mode (anonymous, with no cross-site identifier), do not require your consent. Other trackers are only set after your consent. Because our audience measurement runs in exempt mode by default, most pages show no banner.

When consent is required, you are shown two equally prominent buttons — “Accept all” and “Reject all” — with no pre-ticked boxes and no dark patterns. The “Customise” button allows a per-category choice (necessary, audience measurement, preferences, marketing). You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via the “Manage cookies” link in the footer. Consent is valid for 13 months; after that, you are asked again.

Browser settings

You can also configure your browser to block or delete cookies. However, refusing necessary cookies may prevent some features of the service from working correctly.
